Our family has always been bound by a shared love for Grandma's cooking. The tantalizing aromas wafting from her kitchen were a source of nourishment and a symbol of togetherness. We fondly remember gathering around the dining table, where Grandma would tell stories of her culinary adventures while we savored every bite of her delicious creations. At Heavenly we hope to share Grandma's Kitchen to Your Table.
Our Story
Established in 2017.
At the age of 5, Nhina and her four siblings relocated from Vietnam to Iowa with their parents. Nhina and her family became rooted in the Urbandale community, where many of them still reside. In 1980, Nhina's family acquired Shang Yuen Chinese Fast Food, a business they dedicatedly ran until 2020. In the wake of the pandemic's challenges and the loss of their beloved mother, they made the heartfelt decision to sell the business.
Meet The Owner
Nhina pursued her education at Iowa State University, where she majored in Retail Management and Finance. She began her professional career by working 12 years in retail, followed by 14 years with Principal Financial. Nhina, who took time off work to care for her mother, found solace and inspiration in the kitchen, where she fondly remembered her mom’s culinary expertise.
